What Does the Find It! Button Do?
You might have noticed the Find it! button () in our subscription databases. The presence of the button means the full-text of an article is not available in that particular database, but might be avaiable electronically in another database. Click the Find it! button () to check the availability of a specific article.
In the example below, the article is available in Project Muse, another database. Click the full text link to connect to the full text of the article.
In the example below, the article is not available electronically in any of LaGuardia's databases. That leaves you with two options to locate the article:
- See if the article is available in print at LaGuardia, or at another CUNY school, using the catalog.
- Request the article be located for you via Interlibrary Loan. If you don't already have an ILLiad/Interlibrary Loan account you'll need to create one. Details about the Interlibrary Loan Service, which is available to faculty, staff, and students, can be found here.
Librarians are always available to help you find articles. If you need any help using the Find it! button () or finding an article, you can visit us at the Reference Desk or get help via email.
