From the late Italian author, Italo Calvino: The Daughters of the Moon. A story that will make you wonder about consumerism. Get ready for earth day or is it save the earth day?

The Return of the Media Catalog

A lot of people missed the media catalog when we move to the new site.

Luckily, it's back and better than ever.

To see it (again or for the first time), visit http://library.laguardia.edu/media.

Using the Library from Off-Campus

Just a quick reminder:

To use the Library when you're not on-campus, just use the site as you would from on-campus. When you need to login, you'll be prompted to login.

For students: Use your LIVE@LaGuardia email login without @live.lagcc... for your login. This is probably your firstname.lastname. For your password, use the default LIVE password, which you also used the first time you logged into your account. It should be:

Your DOB (yymmdd) and the last 4 digits of your CUNY Student ID Number.

Example: If your DOB is 04/16/1975 and the last four digits of your CUNY Student ID Number are 1234, then your password is 7504161234. (no spaces).

For faculty: Use your GroupWise email login without @lagcc.cuny.edu for your login. The password for off-campus access will be the same as your GroupWise password.

Short Takes on Literature Resumes!

Short Takes on Literature Resumes March 19 at 2:15 in the Library conference room.

They'll be discussing Herman Melville's "Bartleby, The Scrivener."

For details, click the Programs & Workshops link on our home page, or visit http://library.laguardia.edu/services/programs.

Where is my textbook?

Looking for your textbook?

It might be on reserve, meaning you can use the book for two hours within the Library.

Some reserve books can be borrowed for three days.

To use a reserve book, just ask for it by title at the check-out desk.

Not sure of the title of your textbook? It's probably in your class syllabus.

You can learn more about the future of textbooks, including where to buy them (and trade them!) online, by visiting our research guide.
