Using the LaGuardia Library Research Toolbar

Now that you've installed your toolbar...
The LaGuardia Library Research Toolbar's main function is to connect books you find online to LaGuardia's holdings.
Let's say you're looking at a book on Amazon.com. First, make sure you've clicked a title, and aren't just looking at a list of titles. With the toolbar installed, you'll now notice the LaGuardia logo next to the title. By clicking the logo (), you'll be taken to the LaGuardia Library's catalog page for this book. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Research Toolbar searches by ISBN, so if we don't have a certain book, it doesn't mean we don't have other editions. If you don't find anything after clicking the logo, try a title search to see if we have a different edition.

Clicking the logo takes you to:

The little logo is the cue that indicates a catalog lookup is possible.
Highlighting words in a web page and right-clicking will also give you some lookup options, including CUNY+ and Google Scholar.

Other Research Toolbar Uses
You can use the LaGuardia Research Toolbar to directly search the LaGuardia Library catalog, as well as the catalog for all CUNY libraries. You can also use it to search for journal titles available electronically at LaGuardia.

The LaGuardia Library Toolbar also keeps research help close at hand with a link to the Library's Ask A Librarian email reference service located right under the LaGuardia Toolbar button.
