CITI Make a Map: The Community Information Technology Initiative (CITI), a project of the Municipal Art Society, allows users to create neighborhood-based maps coupled with a large array of statistical information including a community district profile

Infoshare Online, a statistical database which allows you to create a profile for your area by borough, zip code, city council district, community district, school district, etc. The three areas you can search are population trends from the last two census, in this case 1990 and 2000, socio-economic, and health statistics. A very powerful tool to find up-to-date statistics on a specific neighborhood of New York. Available through the library's home page by clicking on "Online Research", then Statistics, then Infoshare

The Museum of the City of New York will give you Web-based information about various neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs.
